The Gospel of John
Over the centuries the Gospel of John has acquired a unique reputation among the sixty-six books of the Bible, emerging as one of the clearest and most convincing affirmations ever written of the deity of Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
John is also the only book in the Bible that states its own purpose in its author's own words in clear, precise language: "... that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might life through his name" (John 20:31).
